Dental prostheses are removable false teeth. For partial dentition (one or more teeth are missing) the denture is the simplest method to replace missing teeth. After an impression has been made, the prosthesis is fabricated individually for the patients by our associated dental laboratory.

Kinds of Dentures
A difference is made between part set and full set.
The full set is used, when all teeth are missing. fabrication of a full set might pose a challenge for the dentist and the technician. for the dentist and the dental technician, because there are hardly any indicators concerning the individual features of the teeth (size, length, form, position) and the exact chewing plane, as no teeth are available.
Part sets are used, when enough healthy teeth are still available. Here a difference is made between dentures with or without clips.
Dentures with Clips
The simplest and most cost-efficient method of dental prostheses; frequently, however, denied by the patients, as braces are often perceived as being aesthetically disturbing.

Dentures without Clips
The prosthesis engages with its counterpiece, which is formed on a previously attached crown, by a push-fit element. Here the clips are not required.

FAQs about Dentures
What are the costs for dentures?
In most cases half of the costs for the dentures are taken over by your health insurance, with an approval being made every 6 years. Before starting with the therapy an application has to be filed, which has to be approved by the health insurance concerned, where a calculation of your costs is made.
Due to the legal regulations in Austria we are not allowed to write prices online. We are happy to advise you in detail during a meeting in our office.
Which is the best way to clean my dentures?
It is recommended to clean the denture with water and liquid soap twice a day, when you are brushing your teeth. You might use a larger hand brush instead of a toothbrush, which makes cleaning easier. The denture does not have to be cleaned with toothpaste.
